Based on the New York Times best-selling novel, The Shack takes us on a father’s uplifting spiritual journey. After suffering a family tragedy, Mack Phillips [Sam Worthington] spirals into a deep depression causing him to question his innermost beliefs. Facing a crisis of faith, he receives a mysterious letter urging him to an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Despite his doubts, Mack journeys to the shack and encounters an enigmatic trio of strangers led by a woman named Papa [Octavia Spencer]. Through this meeting, Mack finds important truths that will transform his understanding of his tragedy and change his life forever. Summit Entertainment presents a Gil Netter / Windblown Media production.

  1. Loved this!!!.. But I really wanted the little girl to go back to her family at some point in the movie or at least the father should of have stayed with her when he had the option to😟

  2. I've watched Christian movies before but this one is the best for me ❤️ This speaks a lot of what we are facing right now. God is faithful ❤️ He stores and breaks you gracefully 👍🏽😭

  3. I would recommend this movie to everyone and anyone iv never seen a movie so meaningful and beautiful it really dose make you see and live life in such a different way it's amazing and can not believe how somebody manage to create such a wonderful story the writer was truly blessed with a gift from god

  4. I havent watched the movie yet but I have been reading the book. Great fictional book (I say fictional because it cant take the place of Gods word….the Bible). My sister passed away 4 months ago from a drug overdose. Im still processing all the emotions that come with losing my sister. The book is helping me to process these emotions. I look forward to finishing the book so I can see the movie.
